Description

The Enbio Pro is the larger Enbio: a 5.3 L chamber that takes up to 16 pouches a load, for busy studios and multi-room salons. Programs: FAST (9 minutes), 134 °C (15 to 18 minutes, wrapped and dried) and 121 °C (30 minutes).

It runs vacuum, Bowie-Dick and Helix test cycles, and has standby mode, user ID and an automatic self-test.

Inside, the Pro is about as long and wide as the S but twice as tall: 9 cm (3.5 in) instead of 4.5 cm (1.8 in). Pack one client's tools per pouch and one Pro load covers 16 clients; the S would need two cycles.

Worth knowing: the Pro's fast cycle takes 9 minutes instead of 7, and it is about 4 cm (1.7 in) taller, 5 kg (11 lb) heavier and louder (49 dB against 38 dB).

Times are Enbio's figures and depend on the load. On every model the first cycle of the day takes a little longer while the chamber heats up.

Questions, answered

Pro or Enbio S?

Both have FAST, 134 °C and 121 °C programs, user ID, standby mode and auto-test. Choose the Pro if you sterilize more than 8 pouches at a time: its chamber is twice the size (5.3 L, 16 pouches). The S is smaller, quieter and 2 minutes quicker on the fast cycle (7 min against 9).

Do I need a plumber?

No. It plugs into a wall outlet and takes its water from a bottle or the Magic Filter.

Will it fit on my counter?

It measures 57.5 × 27 × 20 cm (22.6 × 10.6 × 7.9 in) and weighs 20 kg (44 lb). The Enbio Table is made to hold it.
